Anxious to enroll at Broward Technical Colleges and start working towards that dream career? An education from our trade schools can certainly open up so many new doors for you. However, if you didn’t complete high school, there are instances where a GED® certification is necessary to enroll.
Do I Need a GED Certification?
In short? It depends. Our non-discriminatory acceptance policy means we admit all students who have completed their secondary education or are past the age of compulsory attendance. However, each of our program’s prerequisites differ, depending on its occupational requirements.
We recommend consulting with one of our advisors to determine the prerequisites for your preferred program. (Keep in mind, this does not apply if you are a current high school student and interested in obtaining dual credit from Broward Technical Colleges.)
How Can I Get My GED?
We’re always happy to help our prospective students obtain their GED as well. In fact, we offer a GED preparation course to ensure you will be prepared for your tests. The course covers reading, writing, math, social studies, and science. It even provides you with an official GED practice test free of charge.
We offer both face-to-face and online instruction to help cater to your existing schedule demands. We encourage you to reach out to our team if you are interested in enrolling. The GED preparation course is available at all three of our locations.
