Medical Assisting
A medical assistant has a variety of duties at work. Their work includes both administrative and clerical duties. The class is 1300 hours. It’s a blended course, meaning it involves both online learning and face-to-face classes.
Medical Coder
The medical coder/biller applied technology program helps prepare you for an entry-level position as a medical coder, insurance biller, coding clerk, or technician. The class is 1110 hours and meets one hour per week, in person. Students will also participate in an internship the last quarter of the program to give you real-life experience.
Patient Care Technician
This course is designed to expand on a nursing assistant role. After completing the course, you can earn a position as a cross-trained nursing assistant, nursing aide or orderly, phlebotomist, electrocardiograph aide, and more. This class is 600 hours.
Practical Nursing
After completing this program, you’ll be eligible to take the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) exam. Then, you can work under the direction of a RN or a licensed physician. This class is 1350 hours and is also a blended in-person/online course. Students will begin working in a clinical setting early on in the program too.
Surgical Technology
This program prepares students for a job in ambulatory surgical centers, physician offices, operating rooms, and more. After completion of the course, students can take the National Certifying Examination for Surgical Technologists. This course is 1330 hours.
